Biggest trend of all? Sustainable & organic baby clothing.
Buying organic baby clothing is said to be better for your babies sensitive skin because it is free of chemicals and pesticides. It also has a better environmental impact given just how many pieces of baby clothing you're likely to go through during the first year.
You can read more about it here.
Okay, now for the on trend baby clothes!

If you're wanting to stick to an eco-friendly way of a raising a baby, these eco-friendly baby clothing tips should help you go more green in the closet.
]]>There are many different ways you can stick to your eco-friendly lifestyle even after having a baby. You can use things like reusable wipes, eco-friendly bottles if bottle feeding, and stick to cloth diapering for example as ways to go green with a baby.
Sticking to an eco-friendly lifestyle while raising a baby doesn't have to be as hard as it seems.
Today I am going to be sharing some eco-friendly baby clothing tips so that you can keep up with your green lifestyle while also building up your babies wardrobe with some cute baby clothing!
Let's dive into my eco-friendly baby clothing tips.
Shopping local is a great eco-friendly clothing option for your baby! Shopping local leads to less needed transportation, less habitat loss, and less pollution. Some great ways to shop local would be to check out your local farmers markets!
You can read more about shopping local and it's impacts here.
Everyone knows that shopping small is a great choice because you're supporting a person just like you instead of a big corporation, but it is also a great choice for the environment for reasons listed above when it comes to shopping more local. Etsy is a great choice when it comes to shopping small but there are tons of different small clothing shops for babies out there (you're checking out our shop right now!).
Not only is organic cotton safer for your babies skin, but it is a great choice when it comes to environmental impact.
You see, organic cotton farming is much more sustainable and uses less energy and water than traditional cotton farming.
You can read more about it here.
We have a few different organic cotton pieces in our shop. You can check them out here!
Another great one of my eco-friendly baby clothing tips is to shop with the intent of passing on. Gender neutral styles are a great idea when it comes to being eco-conscious baby clothing wise. This way not only does the clothing look adorable now, but it will look equally adorable on any future kids/kids you can pass them on to.
We have quite a few gender neutral timeless pieces in our shop that you can check out here.
My last eco-friendly baby clothing tip; buy clothing that has a variety of uses.
Sure, the extravagant dress will look adorable for pictures, but dresses that can fit more than one occasion would be a much more eco-conscious decision.
A great option when it comes to this is building a capsule wardrobe for your baby.

Capsule wardrobes for babies are an awesome idea because you can so easily get lost in buying every last thing you need for your baby. ]]>Planning to take your twins out of the house for the first time? Whether you're going on a road trip or just making it to daycare, there are some important things to think about before getting in the car. The safety and comfort of both babies is paramount, but don't worry! We've put together this list of tips and tricks for traveling with twins by car.
If you're getting ready to travel by car with twin babies, you should make sure you have the following things ready to go:
Infant car seats are a MUST for traveling with twin babies. They make getting in and out of the car a breeze for twin parents. Instead of having to carry each baby to and from the car, you can simply buckle them into their infant seats and carry them by the handle when you need to go into stores, in and out of houses, and more.
A lot can happen during a car ride with twin babies. I always packed along with double the number of diapers I thought I would need and the same goes for clothing.
A great idea for clothing for when you travel by car with babies is rompers like these. They are easy to get babies in and out of when diaper changes need to happen in the car or when accidents happen.
We have an adorable collection of soft and comfy rompers on our site and you can check them out here!
Then when it comes to food, I think it's smart to bring along an extra bottle if you're bottle-feeding or if your baby has started on solids, a few snack options would be a great idea!
If you're going for a long car ride and plan to feed your babies a full meal, make sure to pack along these mess-free bibs to give you the best chance at minimizing food mess in your car!
Speaking of feeding your babies, I would definitely think ahead when it comes to traveling by car with twin babies. You'll need to feed both at once. How is that going to happen? If you're nursing, maybe it would be easier to bring along some extra pillows to help you nurse them both in the front seat. Or if you're supplementing, it might be ideal to bring bottles along to make things easier on the go.
If you want to feed one baby at a time, make sure to pack something along to keep the other baby distracted like one of these lovey loops. They'll keep your baby's hands and mind busy for a while!
Click here to shop our collection of teether lovey loops
Just like feeding, you're going to need a system for diaper changes in the car. A great way to make diaper changes in the car easy is by having your babies dressed in rompers like these that are easy to zip on and off and then something as simple as a towel or blanket for changing in the front seat, or the hatch if you have one!
I hope these tips for how to travel by car with twin babies have been helpful for you and got you set up well for your first of many car rides with your babies!
]]>You've just given birth to your newborn baby. You're exhausted and you want to know how to soothe her crying.
Sound like you right now?
I was surprised to find out just how much babies cried when I had my twins. You usually don't see much of it before having babies unless you're around a lot of them beforehand, which I wasn't, so I was left most days searching for new ways to soothe a fussy baby.
It's normal for babies to cry when they are tired or hungry, but sometimes crying can be a sign of distress. If you have tried everything on this list and your little one is still crying, it may be time to call the doctor just to be on the safe side.
It's also possible that your baby has colic if they're crying non-stop.
Colic is when crying is excessive and comes on suddenly. It usually starts when your baby is around two weeks old, but it can be diagnosed as early as birth or up to four months of age.
While there isn't one specific cause that triggers colic symptoms in babies, most doctors believe the discomfort could come from gas pains due to swallowing air during feeding. Colic-y babies are usually uncomfortable for more than three hours a day, crying for more than three days a week.
It does end though! It usually ends by that fourth month of life. I know it might seem like an incredibly long time right now, but you will make it through with this list of ways to soothe a fussy baby.
This will help them feel secure and comforted. I found that the tighter swaddle, the better. We have some super soft swaddles in our collection. Click here to shop!
I know you've been holding and rocking your baby for a while now, so let's try the baby carrier. They are one of the best purchases I think you can make as a new parent! As long as your baby is big enough per the guide given with your carrier, wear that baby as often as you can!
A lovey is a great idea in order to offer a bit of security to your baby. Everything is new for them so offering them something that they can always have with them might help them over time.
We have some adorable lovey's in our shop! Click here to check them out.
It is important to make sure your baby is always comfortable in their clothing. I know some of the pretty over-the-top outfits might look adorable, but in all reality, they aren't too comfortable for babies for long periods of time. Something like zippered sleepers is a great idea for keeping them warm and comfortable!
Click here to shop our selection!
Calming music can soothe a crying infant. I even found that sometimes my own music on a low volume would soothe my babies. I figure this is because it's what they heard while in the womb. Singing along with the music is always a calming plus!
Channels such as Hey Bear and Little Baby Bum are great for your babies eyes to try to follow to calm down. Hey Bear is the one I would recommend most! Plus isn't terribly annoying over time for yourself.
Sunlight may help to ease their discomfort or crying spells. Likewise, taking them out into the fresh night air might help too!
It can provide some relief for gas pains and colic symptoms in some babies.
A wet diaper can add to their discomfort and make babies even fussier. Make sure they are always clean and warm at that!
It may help with gas pains, colic symptoms in some infants. It also gives them an opportunity to practice lifting their head up too which can be a good exercise for this stage of development.
Swinging motions tend to soothe crying babies who are struggling. My friend's daughter had colic and would only sleep swaddled up and strapped into her swing. They are definitely worth the investment!
I hope this list of ways to soothe a fussy baby has helped you add some new tools to your toolbox and hopefully they help your little!
]]>*NOTE: I am not a pediatrician or nutritionist. I am simply sharing what I have learned in my own experience as a parent of twins who did baby led weaning.*
For parents of multiples, baby led weaning (BLW) is the perfect way to satisfy their needs and provide them with a healthy diet. The best part about BLW is that it's easy! You can simply let your twins feed themselves and watch them explore their food.
As you have probably found out by now, bottle feeding two babies at once is a LOT and you know what's more? Spoon feeding two babies at the same time. So to limit the chaotic mess, baby led weaning twins is a great route to go!
Another reason that baby led weaning for twins is a great idea is that it can save you a LOT of money. Spending money on tons of specific baby foods can get expensive but a banana that might last them 2-3 "meals" is about .50!
Finally, the last reason that baby led weaning is great for twins is because it helps instill independence early on and that is something you most definitely want with twins!
BLW is a baby feeding approach that allows your child to self-feed with solid foods, starting at around six months old. Baby led weaning lets babies control how much they eat and how fast they eat it. There is no spoon-feeding or pureeing of food involved in blw; instead, you offer your baby pieces of age-appropriate cut-up food that they can grasp in their hands such as a long strip of banana, avocado slice, etc. Be sure to avoid small bites of things when starting out as they are a choking hazard! Smushing things like blueberries and grapes is ideal.
Some babies are ready as early as six months old, while others may not be interested until closer to nine months old.
Some signs that your babies are ready to begin baby led weaning include:
Now that you know what baby led weaning is and when your babies should be ready to begin, let's dive into some baby led weaning tips for twins!
Feeding your babies next to each other is an obvious must. You want to be right there should something happen to either of them. You can also opt to feed one and then the other to minimize any risks from baby led weaning. I personally fed them both at the same time every time because it made the most sense for my family.
Friends, these bibs are a LIFE SAVOR for twins! I am not kidding. Baby led weaning can get super messy and these bibs help collect the food that the babies would otherwise drop, making it so much easier to clean up after two babies have sat and investigated new foods.
Seriously, check out these bibs now!
I think it's important to feed them the same foods at the same time because you'll save TIME! Who wants to feed two babies two different things? If it's necessary because of dietary restrictions, then of course make them different plates but if not, definitely feed them the same meals!
And the last of the baby led weaning tips for twins, make sure to use high chair covers! These things are life savors, just like the food-catching bibs. Most of the mess will be around the high chairs themselves and you can easily throw these high chair covers into the wash.
I hope these baby led weaning tips for twins helps you get started on your own baby led weaning journey!
]]>The day has finally arrived. You've been anxiously awaiting this moment and now it's here! Your twins are coming home from the hospital today. This is a big milestone for you and your family, so we thought we would share some tips to help make bringing those two babies home as easy as possible.
]]>The best newborn twin tips start with tips for bringing newborn twins home from the hospital.
The day has finally arrived. You've been anxiously awaiting this moment and now it's here! Your twins are coming home from the hospital today. This is a big milestone for you and your family, so we thought we would share some tips to help make bringing those two babies home as easy as possible.
Bringing home your twins from the hospital will differ between whether you bring your twins home right away or bring them home from the nicu, but you'll still want the same things set up and ready to go.
If you're planning on bringing your newborn twins home from the hospital soon, make sure you...
& another important thing: a plan for your own self care. Postpartum depression is very common amongst twin moms, and even more common for those twin moms who had their babies in the nicu, so make sure you have a plan ready.
Let's dive a bit deeper into each of those suggestions for bringing newborn twins home from the hospital!
1. Have enough diapers and wipes on hand
Your twins are likely to go through 8-12 diapers a day EACH! Make sure you have enough stocked so that you won't find yourself running out in the middle of the night! I liked to have a months worth at a time.
2. Have enough formula (if going that route)
Do the math early on to figure out how many bottles you're going to get out of your containers of formula if you are deciding to go that route. It might also be a great idea to keep some on hand just in case nursing doesn't work out so that you don't have to run to the store!
3. Have bottles (if going that route)
Again, if you're choosing to bottle feed, make sure you have some good bottles. You can read more about the top rated bottles on the market here.
4. Understand the newborn sleep cycle
Newborn twins will likely sleep more than singletons since they are typically born a lot earlier than singletons, but it's still important to learn about the newborn sleep cycle so that you can do your best to set yourself (and them) up for success. Click here to read more about setting a sleep schedule for your twins.
5. Have a safe sleep area set up for the babies
This is a very important thing to do before bringing newborn twins home from the hospital! Make sure you have a safe sleeping area on each floor of your home.
Swaddles are a great idea to have also! Click here to shop our collection of swaddles.
6. Have a safe tummy time area set up for the babies
Just like a safe sleep place, your newborn twins will need a safe place to hang out during wake time. Set up a fun and safe tummy time place for your babies!
7. Have a plan for any animals you might have (including how you plan to safely introduce them to your newborn twins
Introducing your newborns to your animals can be tricky. I advise learning all you can about how to do it long before giving birth to your twins!
8. Have two safe infant rated car seats and know how to install them into the car
You will thank me later for suggesting infant car seats for your newborn twins. It makes carrying them in and out of the house, store, and more SO much easier!
9. Have cute going home outfits
Going home outfits are a MUST! Check out our shop here to shop some of our custom newborn twin going home outfits.
10. Get stocked on zippered sleepers
These are going to be life savors for you! Having a ton of zippered sleepers for your newborn twins will be helpful because it makes changing them so easy and odds are, you are going to have a lot of messes with newborn twins! You don't have to worry about snaps or buttons. Simply zip them up! Click here to shop our collection of zippered sleepers.
I hope these tips for bringing newborn twins home from the hospital set you up well!

Baby Led Weaning (BLW) is a way of introducing solid foods to your baby, instead of starting with purees. With BLW, your baby will feed themselves small pieces of food that they pick up off the plate.
There are many benefits to trying baby led weaning:
Baby led weaning can be pretty messy as they are learning to feed themselves, but that is a small price to pay for all of the amazing benefits of baby led weaning!
It can be scary for some since there is a risk of choking. Since your baby is learning how to chew with their gums for the first time, you have to make sure you are preparing their food properly to reduce the risk of choking.
Here are some tips for preparing food for baby led weaning.
I don't share the risk to scare you away from it, however, it is something you should be aware of when diving into baby led weaning.
Generally you should begin to introduce solid foods once baby is six months old, however, here are some things to look out for when it comes to readiness for trying solid foods:
If your baby checks off that list, they should be ready to begin with solid foods!
Now that you know they're ready or know when they'll be ready, let's talk about what you'll need for baby led weaning.
Some helpful things when it comes to baby led weaning include:
I am going to share this tip again because these bibs are SO helpful when it comes to baby led weaning. I am not kidding. As someone who has twins, these bibs made feeding time a whole lot easier. They catch the food as it falls, they are easy to wash (dishwasher friendly!), and they keep babies lap clean.
I hope this post shared with you all of the baby led weaning secrets you were dying to know!
]]>Getting your newborn twins onto the same sleep schedule is a difficult task but it can be made a whole lot easier with these seven tips!
]]>Getting your newborn twins onto the same sleep schedule is a difficult task but it can be made a whole lot easier with these seven tips!
When newborn twins enter the picture, sleep deprivation is inevitable. It's difficult to get them on the same schedule and you may feel like you're running in circles.
This is one of the things we learn early on as twin moms. I remember reading everywhere before having my own twins just how hard and important it is to get newborn twins to sleep at the same time. So with that, I knew that it was something I needed to work on from day one.
It is hard to get newborn twins onto the same sleep schedule because even though they developed and were born at the same time, they are entirely different beings and from the start might be hungry at different times or soil their diapers at different times. But there is hope!
Here are seven tips for getting newborn twins onto the same sleep schedule.
Tip #1: If one wakes, you wake the other. Every. Single. Time.
When it comes to getting newborn twins onto the same schedule, it is important to begin waking both when one wakes up. It is more likely that then if you feed them at the same time and put them down again at the same time that they will end up waking near the same time again.
Tip #2: Feed newborn twins at the same time every day.
This will help newborn twins establish a routine and know when they can expect their next meal. It might be tough in the beginning as newborn twins tend to feed on demand, but try to stick to a schedule as closely as possible.
Tip #3: Keep newborn twins on the same sleep schedule during the day
That means naps at the same time, friends! Even if one baby doesn't go to sleep, keep trying. If you want them to sleep at the same time come nighttime, you've got to try and keep them on the same schedule during the day.
Tip #4: Have them seep in the same room
I know you might be nervous about them waking one another up, but that isn't likely and even if they do, you want them up at the same time anyway! Your twins were together in your belly for a very long time and it's best to continue to keep them in the same room. Plus, it'll make things easier on you with only having to go into one room!
Set up both cribs next to each other when they're young so it's easier to feed them at night without getting out of bed or disturbing their slumber.
Tip #5: Establish a routine
One of the best things you can do for newborn twins is establish a routine. This will help them know what to expect and when. It may take some time for them to get used to it but eventually they'll catch onto what happens during the bedtime routine and start to get sleepy!
Tip #6: Make sure they're comfortable
This is true whether you have one baby or multiples. If you want them to sleep longer stretches of time, keep them comfortable inside of soft zippered sleepers. The zippers will help you quickly change one if they wake up with a dirty diaper so that you can get them back to sleep without hopefully waking the other twin. You'll come to find that with twins, anything zippered is the way to go. Zippers are fast. Buttons? We don't know her.

Tip #7: Be consistent
As hard as it is, try your best to be consistent with waking, feeding, and changing your twins at the same time. It'll help so much in the long run, especially if you decide to sleep train later on. It'll also be very helpful for you so that you can better plan your life around their set schedule.
I hope these tips help you get your own newborn twins onto the same sleep schedule!

Even with just one baby, it's important for moms of babies (and anyone else caring for an infant) to have a routine that works as soon as possible so everyone knows what is expected of them during those first few months.
There are many different ways to get your newborn twins onto a sleep schedule- we'll go over some of the most popular ones today. We recommend trying all of these methods until you find one that works best with your parenting style so you don't have any interruptions in getting your little ones sleeping through the night!
A daily wake time is super helpful when it comes to creating a good newborn twins sleep schedule because it provides a structure for both you and your newborns.
If one of the twins wakes up first, follow their lead on when to start that day's schedule, but if they wake at different times use the earlier time as a guide for your daily routine.
Wake time isn't the only important thing when it comes to creating a solid sleep schedule for your twins. Setting a daily bedtime is essential because newborn twins are most likely to have predictable sleeping patterns during the night.
When you set a bedtime, it becomes much easier to predict when your newborns will wake up in the morning and adjust their daily schedules accordingly.
A bedtime routine is helpful for every age and you can definitely start inside of the newborn stage! A bedtime routine is helpful for creating a solid sleep schedule because they signal to the twins that it's time for bed.
Breastfeeding and feeding schedules don't go together well, but you can try! It's easier to create a set feeding schedule with bottle feeding and you'd do just that by scheduling out their recommended milk consumption throughout the day. If you're nursing, however, you might want to start by feeding every two hours to avoid them getting too hungry. Understand, however, babies can be hungry more often than every two hours so they might want to nurse some more.
Sticking to specific nap times can be rough but they're important for creating a newborn twins sleep schedule because it's how they'll get used to sleeping at regular intervals throughout the day.
While creating a schedule with newborn twins might seem daunting, there are lots of resources out there that can help! I hope these tips help you get your twins on a solid sleep schedule!

]]>There are many benefits to toddlers wearing masks including:
I know you've probably heard the whole spiel over the last (almost) two years, but they are super helpful for preventing a lot of illnesses with proper usage!
Make sure your toddler is wearing their mask correctly.
As much as you can try to get your toddler to wear their mask correctly, it can still be pretty difficult to get them to do so. Toddlers have a hard time understanding why they need to wear a mask. So now we will discuss how you can get your toddler to wear a mask with 5 easy tips!
No matter how silly the design, let them pick. They are so much more likely to wear their mask if they actually like it! We have a handful of masks in our shop including "mommy and me" masks to choose from. Who knows, your toddler might feel more comfortable wearing a mask if you have a matching one!

An easy way to do this would be by playing pretend or dressing up. Practice going to the store in the house. Grocery shop from your kitchen. Toy shop from your toy chest. And all the while be sure to be practicing these mask tips for toddlers!
Make sure you are also wearing a mask around your children! They're more likely to follow suit if they see the people around them wearing masks as well. Like I mentioned earlier, it might be even more helpful to wear the same-looking mask.

This is another great mask tip for toddlers! Practicing wearing a mask with their favorite stuffed animals around the house or even on the go is a great way to help encourage your toddler to properly wear their mask!
We all know that toddlers can pick up on how we talk about things. If we talk about mask-wearing in a negative light, odds are they're going to grow a negative association with masks and it'll be even harder to get them to wear their mask properly. We all know it can be uncomfortable to wear one all of the time, but it really is for the greater good and we can be sure to help our toddlers understand that!

Make sure you are always ready to go during winter in order to keep baby warm and pack a hat or two along with some mittens.

Cold weather can dry out your baby's skin pretty quickly and make them uncomfortable. Keep some lotion or ointment in your diaper bag over winter to prevent that!
This is for you. The cold winter air is super harsh on your lips so keep some chapstick to keep yourself comfortable!
Another one for you! Make sure you're keeping hydrated.
During cold weather times like these, simply sanitizing your hands won't cut it anymore. Keep an alcohol-free hand cleaner in your diaper bag that doesn't dry out or irritate infant skin!
I hope this list of winter diaper bag essentials helps you pack the perfect diaper bag for your baby this winter!
]]>Photographing newborns is difficult because they're so tiny, temperamental, and they can barely hold their own heads up.
